Evangel Church has a burden to see the Gospel spread into all the world. We believe every church and every believer should have a part in the Great Commission to go together.
The targets of our missions support are the following:
- Career Assembly of God Missionaries - Foreign Missionaries who are around the world
- Career Assembly of God Home Missionaries that are stateside
- Assembly of God Bible Schools and Universities stateside and around the world that train ministers and missionaries
- Auxiliary Ministries for special needs such as: food and clothing pantry, orphanages, hospitals, pregnancy centers, drug rehabilitation centers, missionaries vehicles and equipment, missions outreach literature, Illinois District of the Assemblies of God projects
- Church Planting for the sake of raising up new churches and congregations to reach the unchurched
- Special Projects: Relief Funds, Short Term Mission assignments, Missionary Projects, Bible projects
When does Evangel place a special focus on missions?
- Every Sunday a special focus on missions is included in our church bulletin. Guest missionaries, prayer focus, faith promise giving and offerings are also a part of special services throughout the year.
- Our Spring/Summer Missions Emphasis brings extra focus on World Missions. Special mission themes, worship, and guest missionaries lead our service as we focus on the Great Commission. Our Evangel Church Family is encouraged during this time to pray and determine their individual Faith Promise for the next six months.
- Our Fall Missions Emphasis brings the exclamation point of focus on Missions for the end of the year. Mission guests lead us into our missions theme. We once again encourage our Evangel Family to pray and determine their individual Faith Promise for the next six months.
- Each month monies from our Faith Promises and our offerings are sent around the world to support the cause of missions!
Who does Evangel support in regards to missionaries?
- Illinois Assembly of God missionaries are our primary focus of career support. These missionaries have been sent out from a geographical location near Evangel Church.
- We do not limit ourselves to the support of only Illinois missionaries, but other missionaries representing other geographical regions that have accountability and relational ties to our church are also eligible to be supported by the Evangel Family.
- Due to our strength, stewardship and excellent accountability of our Assembly of God World Missions Movement, we feel very confident about supporting our A/G Missions Family.

Where does Evangel send financial support?
- Our strategy is to send our gifts to the major regions of the continents of the world literally all over the world!

- 2 Billion have yet to hear the Gospel!
What does Assemblies of God World Missions look like at a glance?
- 1998 appointed missionaries, 586 missionary associates,1,500 missionary children
- Missionaries in 212 countries and territories work with over 230,000 national pastors
- Missionaries in 6 geographical regions: Africa, Asia Pacific, Eurasia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Northern Asia
- 57% of our missionary force is women.
- The worldwide AG Fellowship now numbers more than 52 million members and adherents with over 275,000 churches and preaching points.
